| In 2071, on the planet Mars, just before Halloween. A tank lorry exploded on a highway in Alba city. Something spread around at the explosion, and within three kilometers area, more than five thousand people were killed or injured. ISSP announced that it could be a terrorism using a bio-chemical weapon. Then the government of Mars put three hundred million oolongs of bounty for the terrorist, however, there was no clue. All the members of Bebop eager to get the bounty. Fortunately, Faye, who had tracked an wanted hacker, Lee Samson, witnessed the explosion and the man who had gotten off the tank lorry. With the help from Ed, Faye had found out the driver had used the forged credit card that Lee had used, and she had chased the tank. She took the video of the man, but the image was so obscure that Jet and Spike started their own investigation. Spike went out to Moroccan Street, where they say that "Here you can find anything you want", and sought for the information on a tiny bean that was so tiny as to be invisible. Then Spike met a man, Rasheed. He took Spike to an antique shop, and gave him a big base, saying "This base is just right for you." Jet met his old colleague at a drive-in-theater, and the man of ISSP told Jet that a pharmaceutical company was related with the incident. During two men's absence, Ed found out that the man of the tank lorry had a tattoo on his right wrist, and the tatto was the mark for a Special Force of the Mars Army. Ed hacked into the army's computer and opened the file of the members of the Special Force, and Ein indicated that Vincent Volaju was the man, but the file showed that he had been dead on Titan two years earlier. When Spike and Jet came back to Bebop, Ed jumped into Spike's base, and found a tiny marble in it. They got a outline of the incident that Vincent stole something from the pharmaceutical company, and used it for some reason. Spike went into the company disguising himself as a man from a building cleaning company, however, a beautiful girl who was called as "lieutenant" spotted him for being an intruder. She was Electra Ovilo and was a trained soldier who could match with Spike in marshal arts. During the battle, Spike saw that on her right wrist, she got the same tattoo with Vincent's. Soon more soldiers came and Spike fled from the company, realizing that the company was related with the Mars Army. Meanwhile, Faye found Lee Samson in a game mall, but he hacked into the mall's computer and stopped the electricity and fled from Faye, leaving his cap behind. In the Bebop, Ed and Jet examined the marble that Ed had found in the base, and they knew that the marble was filled with unusual lymphocytes. When Ed heated one lymphocyte from the marble with an electromagnetic wave, finally the cell was broken and from it countless tiny things came out. That was the thing that killed many people --- a nanomachine. On the day before Halloween, Lee hacked into all of the net in Mars, and announced the message "Happy Halloween...", telling people that there would be a big party on the next day. Ed and Ein chased Lee, tracking the smell of the cap that Lee left when he fled from Faye, and they told Faye where Lee went. Lee visited Vincent's room, but Vincent broke a marble with his gun, and Lee was infected with nanomachine, and was killed. Soon after, Faye came into the room, chasing Lee, and infected with nanomachine, too. She saw a hallucinatory golden butterfly, and then she was caught by Vincent. She shot her gun at Vincent, and the bullet cut the skin of his hand. He licked the blood, and kissed Faye, and she fainted. When Spike had fought against Electra, he put a tiny bug into the pocket of her jacket, and listened the communication with the Army office. The Army chased Vincent, and reported where he was to Electra, and she drove herself to the monorail station. At the same time, Spike arrived at the station, and he jumped on to the roof of the coach. Spike was faster than Electra to find Vincent, but Vincent was too tough to be defeated. In the end, Spike was thrown out from the window, and fell into the river. Just after that, Vincent exploded the monorail with a hand grenade, and he spread nanomachine again. All the passengers were infected, however, Electra found out that she was safe. Electra wondered why she was safe in the incident, and asked a man in the factory of the pharmaceutical company to examine her blood. Besides, Spike was saved from the water by a man of Native American. Jet found Spike and tried to persuade him to withdraw from this case, but Spike wanted to pay Vincent back for the lost fight. Spike visited the Moroccan Street again, and met Dr. Mendero, who disguised himself as a mysterious man, Rasheed. Rasheed told spike that there once was a man from somewhere and he had run away from the army because he had invented a horrible weapon. Rasheed said Vincent was a subject of the experiment of nanomachine, and he had the material, counter-nanomachine, in his blood, thus, Vincent hasn't been infected with nanomachine, instead Vincent had lost his memories. At that time, Faye came to herself and realized that she was still alive. Vincent told her that he gave his blood to Faye and that she had become not to be killed by his secret weapon. The Mars Army discovered that Electra had counter-nanomachin in her blood, and it meant that she had had an affair with Vincent. They arrested Electra, and she found that Spike had already been arrested. They talked about their story, their lost lovers. And they broke the jail and robbed the bags of counter-nanomachine that had been cultured from Electra's blood. Vincent asked Faye if she had a will to survive with him in the end of Halloween party, but she refused. Then there came a man who prepared Jack for Vincent, asking Vincent to give him money, but Vincent killed the man. He left the room, leaving his message "I'll be on the bridge between the heaven and the earth." Spike came back to Bebop with Electra, and put the liquid of counter-nanomachine into many bottles. Faye fled from Vincent's room and contacted Bebop, telling Jet and Spike that Vincent had killed a man who had prepare Jack, and Spike realized that Jack was Jack-o-lantern. There was a huge parade of Jack-o-lanterns in Alba city, and the members of Bebop and Electra expected that Vincent would do something in the parade. Meanwhile, ISSP tracked Lee's hacking routes, and expected that the terrorist would do something at the water plant. ISSP rushed to the water plant, and Mars Army came later. They found a Jack-o-lantern in the plant, but soon they found that was a decoy. Jet hired several dozens of antique planes and let the crews pour the counter-nanomachine in the middle of Alba city, where plenty of crowds came to see the Halloween parade. At the same time, Faye went into the city's Weather Control Bureau with a machinegun, and threatened the staff to make a rainfall. A man asked her the reason, and she replied "Because tonight is the party." Spike flew to Alba city on his Swordfish, and three combat planes of Mars Army chased Spike. In the end of a dog-fight, all of the combat plane were crashed into the wall, pier or something, and Swordfish landed on a highway. Spike took a taxi to go to the center of the city. There Spike saw Alba tower, and he knew that it was the bridge between the heaven and the earth. The combat between Spike and Vincent began and during their battle, Vincent pushed the button to let the balloons of Jack-o-lantern in the parade exploded, spreading nanomachines. At the same time, it began to rain and the flight formation of antique planes poured counter-nanomachine from the sky. Spike was infected with nano-machine, and saw golden butterflies, the hallucination caused by nanomachines. Then Electra came, and she and Vincent aimed at each other with guns. Electra expected that they would shoot each other at the same time and die together, and she closed her eyes and pulled the trigger of her gun. Vincent didn't shoot, and he was shot. Spike asked "Why you didn't shoot her?", and Vincent said, "I remember... She is the girl whom I loved." And he was dead. |
